ParcelTrack API
Edifact Codes
When using the ParcelTrack API to check on the status of your parcel, the API will return all tracking events and status information that have occurred with a specific parcel as it passes through NZ Post's parcel network. The API response contains a number of data fields and will include the field "event_edifect_code". This particular field is from our internal parcel network confirming the processing events that have occurred to the parcel. These events are presented with a status description and event description explaining what the status is at each stage.
We recommend that developers use the "event_edifect_code" for their integration solutions as our status and event description comments may change over time, but the status code will remain the same.
Beneath these code tables, we have some code samples showing responses from the API and what the responses would look like and the kinds of event edifact codes that occur and the relevant status for each stage.
